Kaerynn Sedai of the Blue Ajah Wetlander Apprentice to Ilana Wise One Loyal to the Seven Towers |
||||
Kaerynn si Brieuse Gemallan - who never uses her full name because it takes far too long to say and results in big, hairy men wanting to run swords through her O.o - , considers herself Malkieri, even though she was born in Fal Dara and grew up by stints in most countries in the Westlands. She's a bit of a cultural chameleon, therefore, despite trying to keep to Malkieri custom. Her father is a common soldier, even if he is a blademaster, while her mother is a member of one of the oldest and most noble houses of the Seven Towers. Bizarrely, she tends to prefer the former part of her heritage, because the other makes her the niece of Cowin Fairheart and the target of big, hairy men who want to kill her because they are afraid her blood will out and she will destroy them all. Consequently, she tends to introduce herself by her father's name. At the moment, she is an Aes Sedai of the Blue Ajah, having being forced to come to the Tower by the pesky oath her people swore a 1000 years ago to "go wherever the Tower sent". She first revealed her ability to channel after her best friend was killed by Trollocs. She said "burn them" and . . . it happened. She's also the first Wetlander Apprentice to study with the Aiel, since Egwene Al'Vere. She's singularly underwhelmed by the honor, though. ^.~ Physically, she has dark eyes and dark hair, which is cut in a similar style to Ally McBeal's new one. (Read: her creator wants Ally's new style, but is too scared to have it done to her in real life. O.o) She's plain, thin and very tall. She has a number of interesting scars, of which she is obscurely proud. She tends to dress very plainly and simply, apart from times when she goes way OTT. Personality-wise, she's as proud and arrogant as she is stubborn. She has a tendency to leap before she looks, which means that she is usually in one scrape or another. She speaks her mind openly and without tact, which makes her a walking international incident. She also believes that she is destined to become evil, and that there is no real hope for her. As that suggests, she has a tendency to be a bit fatalistic. She's also incredibly angry and bitter towards the White Tower, because her creator loves irony. ^.^ On the positive side, beneath all the bluster, she does have a good heart. She will help anyone who asks her for it, and she's fiercely loyal to anyone who Has earned her respect, which is an amazingly short list of people. She is also courageous, being prepared to face anything or anyone of the Shadow. Her hobbies include swordplay, horse riding, reading and origami. As to her skills, like any good Borderlander noble, she can compose poetry, play an unspecified musical instrument badly, and speak the Old Tongue. (Her creator speaks Latin and pretends that counts.) She is particularly talented in Weaves of Spirit, but she is strong in most aspects of the One Power. Apparently, she will be able to dreamwalk with training, but she doesn't believe it. ^.^ She's also almost nothing like ridiculously cheerful me, but she's darn well fun to role-play. Evil woman That she is. ^.^ |
