| Orks are the most widespread and warlike race of aliens in the bloodstained galaxy of the 41st millenium. There are so many, that, if they all united they would crush all opposition in a matter of months. Luckily for the galaxy, Orks are more interested in fighting amongst themselves. Their constant want for violence means that it is almost impossible to get them to unify and attack the enemy. Even so, Orks are the army I collect and I will tell you why they are so effective in battle. An individual Ork is as tough as a Space Marine, as skilled with weapons as the Eldar and as good in close combat as a Tyranid. Along with this they are quite cheap in points and very easy to paint, they are mainly green. An army of Orks wielded by a good general can surround, divide and slaughter the enemy within a matter of turns. They are also highly entertaining in battle, as you can laugh when your gretchin slaves are blown to bits by mines or when a supercharged vehicle crashes into a wall. |
