Janeway is originally from Indiana, America and commands U.S.S Voyager. Her first visit to another planet was Mars at the age of ten. She loves music and has always regretted that she never learned to play an instrument. Her interests are painting, sculpting, science, mathematics and tennis. She serves as the science officer as well as the Captain on Voyager. Her mission in life is to get her crew and her ship back to earth in the Alpha quadrant. The welfare of her crew is the most important thing for her and she feels responsible for the fact that they are stranded in the Delta quadrant. She once served as a science officer under Admiral Paris on the Al-Batani.
