Rules
On Saturday, April 2, 2005, a collection of the most devoted guild
members attended an organizational meeting which had outlined several
basic and crucial elements to the growing guild of the Silver Hand Legion.
The following explains in more detail.
Rule #1:
No Profanity. Profanity will not be tolerated at any time. We will
be a guild of class, a guild of character. We do not want to offend
anyone, and by doing so this will only help. Blizzard does not appreciate
the use of swearing either, and we want to uphold their policies in
our guild.
Rule #2: No Greed.
I have heard many times while collecting signatures from people that
they have hated the guilds filled with greedy, stingy people. The
following will address the issue.
Part 1: We ask that you give
your professional services freely (asking to collect resources is
not unreasonable). Please do remember though they are pulling time
out of their gaming and so tips are appreciated.
Part 2: Items that
you no longer can use we ask that you hand down to someone that
is able to make use of before you discard, or try your chances at
the Auction House.
Rule #3:
Don't confront guild members. In order to avoid arguments between
guild members, any major conflicts we ask be brought to an officer's
attention before you confront a member. Any expressed or implied rule
broken we ask that you report to an officer.
Rule #4: Superior's
Respect. Our officers are here to help you.
Part 1: Our officers will
respect you in every way. We ask that you respect them as well.
I don't believe respect has to be explained for you to understand.
Part 2: Saluting an officer
upon entry is a requirement. This provides our guild with discipline,
organization, and a little bit of fun.
Part 3: Do not grief to a
superior about a matter, you may report an issue but complaining
is highly annoying and takes some time to manage it.
Rule #5: Ganking. No
member will engage with an opponent if (s)he is 10 levels or more
lower than your own level. This rule becomes obsolete if a horde member
is attacking you, you may call in support, no matter what the level.
Rule #6: Confidentiality
No member may leak out any e-mail address, passwords of authentication
(i.e: teamspeak program), raid plans to anyone within the gaming world,
or outside of.
Rule #7: Party Leadership
When two or more members of the guild are in a party, the party leader
will be the highest ranking member in the guild.
Rule #8: Power Abuse
Abusing of powers is prohibited, and includes but is not limited to:
bossing other members around, demanding items on rolls, demanding
chests, disregarding opinions and needs of other members.
Rule #9: Activity You
must be active at least ONCE a week. You may be excused for periods
of time if you inform the Divine Vanguard that you may have trouble
time to time. A general explanation is required, not specific dates.
1. Divine Vanguard
2. Knight
3. Footsoldier
4. Recruit *
5. Exile ( Temporary Disciplinary Rank)
* Zealots are those priviledged to recieve
a free tabard. Recruits must not wear a guild tabard, and if they
previously own one they must not wear it until otherwise promoted.
More ranks are due to appear once our numbers increase and we require
sub divisions, division commanders, ect. Officers are defined as anyone
being a Crusader, Armsman or Divine Vanguard.
It is thought to be in the best interest of the guild to contain
a very friendly, close knit guild. We want to keep our members friendly
and knowing eachother well, while avoiding a guild that has so many
members that you notice people that you've never seen before having
the same guild tag as your own.
Members:
• 1-25: 3 members/week
• 25-75: 5 members/week
Once we reach a 75 mark, we will cease to have quotas required, and
instead we will focus on our guild training, management and cleansing.
A monthly cleanup is done for those who have not been active, for
those who are not contributing, and for those that are unpleasent.
It is in your best interest to be a contributing member, and an active
one in order to be a part of the Silver Hand Legion.
When the unfortunate event occurs that a rule IS broken, the officers
and or Vanguard will decide the judgement of the member. Some may
recieve several verbal warnings, while others may proceed directly
into procedure, which is as follows:
1. Verbal Warning
2. Exile (Recieve "Exile" rank. No chat privileges, team speak. May
only observe)
3. Banishment.
