Alison
Littauer
Alison
Littauer has been teaching Scripture Study for twenty years, since an extensive
college tour of Greece and Israel immersed her in the world of the Old and New
Testaments. She is a graduate of both
Wheaton College in Bible and Communications (B.A., ‘80 magna cum laude), and of New York University
in Philosophy and Religion (M.A., ‘83 summa cum laude).
A native
of Augusta, Georgia, Alison has lived in Connecticut all of her married life
(20 years). She and her husband Richard have three children, ages 19, 17, and
14. She presently serves on The Family
Institute Board, the CT state arm of Focus on the Family, Int’l. Alison loves to fundraise for them, as well
as to travel and speak to women’s conferences all across the United States. She is a new member of the Speakers Bureau
of Vision New England (arm of the NAE).
For many years, she served as a teaching director for two Community
Bible Study classes, which chapters she founded, in both Hilton Head, SC and
Orange, CT. Alison served as a Press
Secretary to her home district Congressman in her year between college and
graduate school.
Presently
Alison’s greatest joy outside of her family is the ladies Bible Study she
founded in 1997, comprised of some 175 women from over 35 area churches, aptly
named “WOW!—Women of the Word,” which meets at The Master’s School in Simsbury,
CT, weekly. The Bible Class has become
an agent of influence and outreach for Christ throughout the entire Farmington
Valley Area.
