MUST KNOW: ALL ROLEPLAYS FOR THE FINAL SHOW ARE TO BE POSTED BY CLICKING HERE.
To the people of Wild Outlaw Wrestling,
On May 1st, I announced that as of June 1st, I would no longer be in charge of Wild Outlaw Wrestling. Since then, a lot has happened with myself, and others within our little 'group'.
Firstly, if you don't know by know, the last I heard from Jenn, Alv went back into intensive care because of what is thought to be shock. All of our prayers are with Alv. I know personally that not a day goes by when I don't pray for Alv to get better.
Secondly, if you didn't catch the OOC Board, Kidrock, aka Adam, has retired from the 'squared circle'. This is a huge loss, but surely it isn't going to be the biggest shocker of them all. Adam, it was a pleasure getting to do many angles with you over the year and three months you were here. I wish you the best of luck in whatever life brings your way.
Thirdly, and the main reason for this letter on the main page. I started this fed up in January 2000. Here we are, 29 months later... I personally never thought it would go 29 months, let alone 12 months. Today, May 28, 2002, I am closing Wild Outlaw Wrestling indefinitely.
I have thought long and hard about this. At first, I was going to continue to do what I do with help from Z until Alv is back on his feet and comes back to help Z. Right now, I am going to refer to the infamous Shawn Michaels line, "I've lost my smile." I just don't have it in me to run Wild Outlaw Wrestling, partially or wholely at the moment. Don't take this as a 'it's over with, go home...' speech. I am stating for the record that as of this instant, WOW stops.
I know some of you may be angry, some sad, some may not care at all. I've put a lot of time and effort into WOW to bring it to where it is today. I'd put 5 to 10 hours a week into this baby in the management side of things, and 2 to 3 in roleplaying every week. I'm not trying to put myself over here, I am just trying to say that I gave anywhere from 7 to 15 hours a week to this fed. For those of you who know me personally, I have a lot going on in my life right now. I have a job, I have my golfing, I have Student's Council, I've got projects coming out my ass, I've got school, I've got to try and win over the girl that I love (which is really nothing new in my life... LOL!)... That takes up most of my week. I don't have the drive or desire to do WOW.
I hope the rest of you understand that this will be better for a lot of us in the long run. WOW's reputation for being a great fed won't fall, I won't have to check into the Homewood Mental Institute (LOL!), and I will enjoy life like the rest of you are.
I am very sorry that things couldn't have ended better, but I will guarantee you that there will be a huge show to end WOW's reign atop the e-fed world, when is another question entirely.
I've met a lot of great people through this fed... Alv, Dath, Jenn, Z, Ben, Adam, Wasley... the list goes on. I thank each and every one of you for being a part, big or small, in something that nobody ever thought would leave the ground. I will keep in touch with each and every one of you guys, and I must thank everyone for the memories I got out of WOW.
Thanks again, and good luck to everyone,
Mike Wilson
Note: The OOC Board will be left up, by clicking here so that everyone can post what they want to say to 'the boys in the back'.
