Elusive Mind

Art thou my mind back there behind
I fear that I have lost my mind.
What is this mind that I do find
I know not whose though it is not mine.

Oh mind of mine come home to stay
and live to roam another day.
But wait this mind it's still not mine
these thoughts within they are not in line.

What pain what bliss what mind is this
that spins in such an almighty twist.
I shall fight on, I shall stand tall
for this is not my mind at all.

That Time of Year

Again it is that time of year that people they will say
a child was born of God and in a stable he did lay.
Although the child was born of God the timing is not right
but still the people celebrate and say that it’s alright.

The Bible does not say a thing in chapter, psalm or verse
in reference to the birth of Christ on December 25th.
Although the people say it is for God they celebrate
each year they seem to hold their celebrations months too late.

The Bible does hold reference to many other feasts
and not one in relation to the Christmas people keep.
So could it be that it is time to take a closer look
to see what God has written and commanded in his book.

Gods word it is all written in the bible for to read
with laws and all commandments written for us all to heed.
So if you really love the Lord and his will you want to keep,
he promises eternal life and next to him a seat..

Until the Kingdom of the Lord has come to earth to stay
Christ the head of everything will guide us all his way.
The laws of God they all remain and here shall they all stay
and not one letter of the law can any strip away.

Mellow Days

Cloudy Sunday with soft breezes blowing,
listening to music that fits the mellow mood.
So much happening but little to do,
it's such a mellow Sunday afternoon.

Anticipating the weeks to come,
while pondering events of weeks gone by.
A future full of anticipation,
yet frightening in so many ways.
With possible jobs to change our way,
and with them the thought of the inevitable move.

With the expected arrival of a baby soon,
more to plan and so much to do.
So what is life for most of us here,
a time to build, grow, reflect and fear.
All of this we do each day,
in our own very individual way.

A New Life

A new life, the symbol of love, two lives
made into one to create new life.
Ever growing, ever changing, as a plant develops
a flower which turns to seed and creates a new plant.
So the cycle continues.

As life grows and changes so too does love grow and change.
As we grow in God's love and learn from his word
we develop and we change and our love increases.
As we strive for his words we strive for deeper love
ever changing, ever increasing.

How great is love.
Love binds us together though years have tried to pull us apart.
Drawn together in the beginning yet apart for a time.
Together again and never to part with a future together given
to us by God to live and love by his grace and his love.

God gave us each other and to make it complete he has given
us also a new life to keep in his glory and raise in his
love.

The Wealth of a Family Increases

Together we choose to live with each other
To build on a life that was given by God
He decided our future before we were born
With the family planned and our destiny known

We were given a child to love and to cherish
The doctors all said we should not have conceived
Now once again we are expanding the family
Adding, demanding, expanding and planning

The first one is two and with spirit of age
We are thinking should we have done this again
The second one in August is due and yet so much to do
We will get there and probably just muddle through

Sitting Here thinking

Another day over and here do I sit
Thinking of nothing and everthing
Over the last day so much has been done
Sitting here thinking but nothing will come

To describe the events of the last day it seems
Isn't quite as swift as I would like it to be
Could it be that my day was not of much interest
Or just that my mind is shut off from the business

Two more days to go and the weekend is here
At least that is something to look to with cheer
After roadworks and traffic with people all rushing
The weekend to come is a bit of a blessing

Life goes by so quickly

We live our lives and children make,
To leave them with another.
We go to work to earn a buck,
A life far from the other.

Our children grow and learn to live
the life they have been given.
But more they need a parents love
and the time to spend their living.

One day they go all grown and ready
to face the world alone.
We are left with much regret
for the times they were left alone.

Family is the greatest gift from
God that has been given.
So let us not just pass it by
and be a part of living.

A childs love and life so great
a joy to be a part of.
So don't just live for money to make
when wealth your life is missing.
