To all the men who gave their lives
To make this country free
I raise a toast in honor of
Their cherished memory
With dignity they carried out
Their patriotic chore
They represented our beliefs
They faced the bloody war
And to the ones who made it home
Who lived to tell the tale
My deep respect goes to these men
Who faced a living hell
I can't believe that there are some
Who'd set the flag aflame
When countless lives, and blood has flowed
To keep her from that shame
Through all our wars, to Desert Storm
She's sailed upon the breeze
"Old Glory's" been a welcome sight
To soldiers overseas
And when her patriotic cause
Had taken life from one
She gave her honor to the tomb
That held her native son
