Irish Blessing
(when you read the poem, you must employ the Irish accent to get the full effect)

May ye ne'er forget the simple joys of livin'
May your heart be glad and ne'er get tired o' givin'
May ye live beyond your years
See the laughter through the tears
And all your debts be sundered and broke even

Of all the years of sowin' and of reapin'
May the bairns ye bare be found content and sleepin'
May your family grow and prosper
May your spirit keep its lustre
May the Master up above spare ye the weepin'

May ye find the pearly gates of Heaven's glory
And rejoice to hear the ne'er-failin' story
Of a Savior crucified
Of a love that will abide
And a place to hang your hat and leave your worry
