The WPA Ministries Prayer Team is a sub-team under the guidance of the WPA Ministries Church Health Team. The purpose of the WPA Ministries Prayer Team is to aid the work of the Church of God in Western Pennsylvania through prayer for the pastors and congregations, coordinating prayer events in WPA, and being a resource on prayer for the congregations in WPA.
The Prayer Team has undergone many changes in the past few years and is in the process of rebuilding through the guidance of WPA Ministries leader, Rev. Vern Allison. Currently the team members include Sharon Bromley, Rev. Deb Cypher, Susan Katreeb, and Margie Myers, with Rev. Marva Brockinson serving as prayer support and resource person.
Team meetings are scheduled for 1:30 PM at New Heights CHOG unless otherwise noted)

Hillside Lodge | Led by Rev. Deb Cypher A recent poll of pastors and church leaders revealed that over 90% of them felt their prayer life was "unsatisfying." And yet prayer is an essential discipline, modelled by Jesus Himself. We will look at why prayer seems inadequate and how to revitalize our time with the Lord. There will be time for personal and group prayer. We will also look at the Theophostic Prayer Movement that is currently being used as an effective healing ministry in many churches. |
