| WPBN-TV is a chartered member of both the Student Government Association of William Patesron University as well as a member of the William Paterson Broadcast Network. WPBN-TV membership is open to any and all students who are undergraduate or graduate members of the SGA who hold at least a 2.0 GPA. Membership is not based on experience or prior knowledge, nor is it exclusive only to Communication Majors. Graduates of the WPBN-TV/WPC-TV Program have moved on to working in the industry in such places as FOX News Channel, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, FOX Sports, CNN, The Weather Channel, ESPN, the NBA, and CNBC. | WPBN-TV CLUB CONSTITUTION ARTICLE II PURPOSE The purpose of WPBN-TV shal be to bring together students from all colleges and schools from William Paterson University that share an interest in TV Production, Broadcast Journalism, and Broadcast Management. An amphasis is placed on Remote and Studio Productions, as well as EFP (Electronic Field Production) and ENG (Electronic News Gathering) Production. WPBN-TV also provides an evironment of professionalism where student can learn or build apon those skills nessesary for survival in the industry, while producing professional broadcast quality over and on campus cable which provides an essencial service to the William Paterson Community. |
