Our activities committee (SAC) has planned some events and socials for the year.  Dates will be assigned shortly, so keep watching this page for updates.

Bowling is fun in any month, especially February.  We encourage members and friends to sign up for the Big Brothers / Big Sisters charity event, either for pledging or as a bowler.  The bowling is free!  Also, we will have a church outing to bring together all of that terrific kegling talent, date/time/place to be announced.  If you haven't bowled in a while, come on out, but lease air out those shoes and bowling towel a few weeks in advance!

In
March, we will let it all hang out on Game and Trivia Night..  We bring our favorite board and card games as the sharks come out to test their respective triple-word-score and multiple-choice prowess.

How many eggs will you find in the
April Easter Egg Hunt?  Some are easy to find, and some are tricky.  With the addition of our new playground, there's a few more interesting hiding spots.  Don't forget your baskets.  Would you know a "cotton bunny" if you saw one?

In
May, we will have our work day.  This is a "Spring Cleaning" opportunity to put items of disrepair back into service or to provide some general cleanup and improvement of building and grounds.  Psalms 128:2 You will enjoy the fruit of your labor.  How happy you will be!  How rich your life!

Ahh
June - Baseball is in the air.  We will try something different this year - we will attend a Grizzlies game on the Eastern shores of the Mississippi.  Fun for adults and kids, and the price is right!

July is a hot month in the St. Louis area, and what better time than to cool off with some splash and dash in our annual Pool Party.  This will probably be accompanied by a barbecue.  Bring your towels and suntan lotion.

Meet me for dinner and a movie in
August.  We haven't had an outling like this before, so our track record is clean.

Hey buddy - two hands on the wheel, please!  It's
Road Rally time!  If you haven't been on one, come on out in September.  It's a little like a treasure hunt gone haywire, if you ask me.

Have you ever enjoyed a weekend
Riverboat Cruise down the Mississippi?  This time, we will do it as part of an Oktoberfest celebration.  Dixie bands, sumptuous and authentic German cuisine, OOM-PA bands, and the splash of the paddlewheel will make for a memorable time in October.  Also take note that our annual Rummage Sale fundraising will take place this month as well.

In November, another fundraiser, in the form of a Chili cookoff, will take place at the church.  Test: what is the language origin of the word "chili"? (a) Spanish  (b) Italian  (c) Portuguese  (d) Anglo idiom.

And, finally, we will tune up for the
Holiday Pops Symphony in December.  Well, we're attending, not playing.  But whether your ears are big or small, it's still music - music - music.
