| Memorials and Gift Books |
| Memorial contributions to the Walnut Public Library may be made at any time, in any amount. The donor may even want to specify a particular subject area or interest to be selected. For such remembrances, a card is sent to the family advising them of the memorial gift and the title(s) selected. The donor is also notified of the title chosen. A memorial bookplate with the name of the person being honored and the name of the donor is placed inside each memorial book. Many excellent books have been added to the Library's collection through such tributes. To Honor a person, a contribution may be made at any time, in any amount. The donor may specify a particular subject area or interest and a card is sent to the person being honored advising them of the gift and the title(s) selected. Consider honoring a birthday, anniversary, graduation, new baby, etc. A bookplate with the name of the person being honored and the name of the donor is placed inside each gift book. A Birthday Book is a special gift book honoring a child, may be selected by the donor or the Library. A Birthday Book will contain a bookplate with the honored child's name and will be added to the Children's Collection.
