ISSUE 1 |
Well, we came really really close. Really really really really close; but we missed the boat. September 14th has come and gone and surprise surprise- no paper. I will spare you all the long boring details, but you must know there were points when I wanted the MAC's back. I will tell you this, we had the final template DONE, yup done, when the computer decided to give us a fun error message. No EEP, just a message that said we are now closing the program. Well, I figure I could just open it back up again cause I saved it like a good newspaper person, but not only did it close it, it erased the sucker too! Well looks like you got some of the details anyone, oh darn. -Hey, that rhymes with BARN!!! Anyway, problems aside first issue was great. I have never seen so many people there on a Monday night, I think there were between 15 and 20 of us there, it was packed!!! The newbies did a great job too, they picked up everything fast, even the wackyness of deadline. (Though I am sure I got a few strange looks---I'm thinkin' I would've gotten those anyway though) I think our stories were all newsworthly and the fact that we redid the front and DPS to be extra current news was awesome. I want to thank everyone who help. It was greatly appreciated. Also, strange thing happend, they played Bush on the radio a whole heck of a lot. Becca(if you are reading this), Joe almost had a cow! I want to let all you alumni know that we thought of all of you... no matter what year you graduated, we definatly thought of you. It was very weird to be sitting on the other side of the room and have so much power. We made ourselves right at home though... if any of you alumni come to visit you may be scared at our wall. But I am proud to say that Yearbook's wall is so ugly it is hard to look at. I think I will just have to get a picture of the room up... I'll do that...eventually. Anyway, I am glad you took the time to read this. There will be more...I hope to put up pictures and some news every issue. For now this is it. Hope to see you all at the YOM party. WOO HOO YEAH YOM... Love You All |
