Environmental Case Study

Choose an environmental issue that interests you.  It may be a global issue or a local issue.  Write a case study on this issue.  Your case study should include the following:

1)  Brief background on the case.  What are the basic issues involved with this topic?  What contributes to the problem/issue?  How did it begin?  (minimum of 1 paragraph)

2)  Stakeholders – Who/what is affected by your case?  You should thoroughly explain at least 5 stakeholders.

3)  Explain the current research regarding the case.  Use at least 3 scientific journals & 2 other media sources.  On this section you should construct a chart of the information from your 5 sources.  One column should depict the source of the article, one column should have 3 facts from the article, and the last column should explain the author’s point of view.

4)   Is there any US Legislation that could apply to the case?  Describe the law and what it would do (even if the issue is not in the US).  If there is no legislation that applies to it, then write a law yourself that you think would help.

5)  Resolution – What do you think should be done to help this situation?  This should be a well thought-out piece (minimum of 2 paragraphs) explaining specifically what could be done to help the issue.
