Wicca, to me, is basically the study of the earth and the worship of the Earth, the Goddess, and her consort, the Horned God. I do not, as one of my aunts so kindly put it, "worship[s] trees and nature". I respect naturistic life forces and the power with flows in them and from them.
My God is not a devil but a loving God. Unlike the catholic and christian god He is not better than my Goddess. They are really one as, are man and woman (or woman/woman or man/man, they just happen to be the two life forces, the creators and preservers of life itself), when joined in sacred vows.
By sacred vows I do not mean solely marriage under a judge or a priest, but a simple vow to love. I follow the Law of Three, what you give out comes back to thee Three times.
The Goddess is a trinity; Maiden, Mother, and Crone. The Maiden is the spinner of the threads of the loom; she vibrant and younthful. The Mother is the weaver of the threads; she is fertile and loved. The Crone is the cutter of the threads; she is wise with the wisdom of years.
The Goddess is also the Earth Mother. The Maiden who blossoms and is beauty. She is the Life Giver who nourishes us and cares for the children. But as with all Light there is Dark; she is also the Crone, beautiful in her courage and wise as well, but she brings the inevitable death. Death lasts but a short time until new life; Reincarnation.
