Clash of the Champions, March 27, 1988:

Wrestling fans begin to take notice when Sting battles to a 45 -minute draw with NWA world champion, Ric Flair.

March 31, 1989:

Sting defeats Mike Rotunda (IRS) to win the world television title, Sting's first WCW belt. He also begins a months-long feud with The Great Muta.

Starrcade 89': Future Shock, December 13, 1989:

Sting wins the four-man round- robin tournament, defeating the NWA world champion, Ric Flair in the final match.

February, 1990:

A dispute with his Horsemen buddies leads to disaster when Sting injures his knee in an angle with Ric Flair. As a result of this, Sting is on the shelf for five months.

Capital Combat 90': The Return Of Robocop:

The Horsemen's ambush on a prone Sting is intervened by Robocop, who rips the door off the cage that Sting has been thrown into. Later in the evening, Sting saves his good buddy Lex Luger from another Horsemen attack.

The Great American Bash, July 7, 1990:

Sting defeats Ric Flair to begin his first NWA world title reign.

January, 1991:

Ric Flair regains the NWA world title from Sting.

Superbrawl 2, February 29, 1992:

Sting defeats his former-friend, Lex Luger to raise his second world title.

Beach Blast 92', June 20, 1992:

Cactus Jack (Mick Foley) brings his unorthodox- style to Sting, but ends up on the losing end of an entertaining Falls Count Anywhere match.

The Great American Bash, July 12, 1992:

Sting drops the title to Big Van Vader(later known as Vader).
