Wrestler Description: Marcus Gratton is a well built (Triple H like)atheletic wrestler. He has been wrestling since he was 12 and is exceptional at technical wrestling. Gratton has shoulder length, dark brown hair. He has dark brown eyes and has a slight tan. He has a knee brace on his right leg due to an injury he suffered when he was 16. He has a black knee support on his left leg. Gratton has black arm supports on both his elbows and he has his hands taped with black wrap. Gratton has short tights that are black with a blue phoenix on the rearend. His wrestling boots are black with a blue trim by the laces.
Entrance Description: The lights begin to flash different colors as "Animal" by Pearl Jam begins to play on the arena speakers. At the entryway the shadow of a man can be seen standing, when the music slams into gear, he walks out of the shadows and the crowd begin to cheer as Marcus Gratton makes his way to the ring. He walks towards the ring slapping hands with the fans as he goes and makes his way to the announcer before he slides into the squared circle. Gratton walks around ring and climbs onto the ropes and raises one arm as the crowd cheer him on.
Wrestlers Gimmick: Marcus Gratton sees himself as the greatest techincal wrestler of all time. He has trained that way for his full wrestling career and banks on making people submit three quarters of the time.

History: Marcus Gratton was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, in 1979. He is a third generation wrestler with quite a past behind him. His Grandfather was a world champ in 1942 and his Father was a world champ in 1968. The interesting thing is...His Father Eddie defeated his Grandfather William to get the chance to fight for the world belt. In 1965 The tag team of William and Eddie Gratton were top of the hill. They were unstoppable. William's technical ability and Eddie's brute power were unmatchable. No one could beat them. But they never had a shot at the world tag team championship. This ate and festered in Eddie but never showed. Until a match in Montreal on December 5th, 1967. They were in a number one contenders match for the tag championship, when William was caught in the ring alone with thier opponents and taking a beating, Eddie was "Distracted" by a lady in the front row. Eddie turned and ran into the ring. He was then beaten down and was just about to take a double chair shot when he grabbed a groggy William and pushed him into the line of fire. William took the chair shots and was pinned. Eddie scrambled out of the ring and lay "injured" on the floor. When William came to, he found Eddie and took him to the back. Eddie blamed his father for the loss and decided it was time to test the singles market. He did fairly well, but William was named the number one contender for a shot at the heavyweight title. This made Eddie furious and demanded a shot at William. Of course He accepted, this was his son, but what happened that night will never be forgotten. Eddie won the match, but had crippled his own father to do it. Eddie gave chair shot after chair shot to William's legs and destroyed his fathers ability to walk. He went on to win the heavyweight championship by nearly doing the same thing to the champion. Eddie had
snapped and was riding it to victory after victory. Eddie had meet Marcus' mother in Montreal the day that he and his father lost the tag championship opportunity and later married her. They gave birth to Marcus on August 3, 1979 and almost immediatly Eddie dispised his son. Marcus had taken to his grandfather right away. The two were very much alike. Marcus was atheletic
just like his grandfather, the two were both proficient in the technical side of wrestling and they both disliked Eddie. Eddie was divorced by Myriam(Marcus' mother) and he left without a trace. Myriam decided that it would be better if she moved Marcus away from all the contraversy surrounding Montreal and brought him to Vancouver. Gratton went on to play
hockey and excelled at high school wrestling. He later went to Japan to learn the art of submission from the best around the world. He is now twenty two and wishes nothing more than to face his father in a match to put this all to rest once and for all. Then he plans on wrestling for the Heavyweight Championship of the World! |
