WCW Injury Updates: Sting, Booker T, Awesome

There are numerous World Championship Wrestling superstars that are suffering through nagging injuries at this time. Here is a rundown:

Booker T has an injured knee which is supposed to be scoped really soon.

Sting is still planning on having elbow surgery. He had been working through his injury for the past few months now even though which was dangerous to do because it could have gotten much worse. There are some wrestlers out there who believe that he could have waited longer to have this surgery and that the only reason Sting scheduled the surgery for now was due to the fact that he is fed up with the status of WCW. Hey, who would blame him if that were true?

Injuring his knee on Monday during his match against Scott Stiener on Nitro was General Reaction. He told people that he sustained the injury during the spot where Steiner hung him upside down on the ropes. Reportedly, after the match, he was experiencing a lot of pain and some of the wrestlers are afraid that he may have torn some ligaments. At this time however, there has been no diagnosis for his injuries.

Previously Mike Awesome had a pulled AC joint in one of his shoulders and was medically cleared to wrestle last week. Despite his clearance, Mike was held off of this week's shows as a precautionary measure to insure his safety. Look for him to return in time for the Starrcade PPV.

Unfortunately Lance Storm re-aggravated rib injury that he suffered a few weeks ago. Storm took part in a six-man match that will be airing on Thunder, but it is said that he was very cautious in the ring. Look for him to wrestle at Starrcade.
