HHH returning Monday on RAW, WWF Record Label and more!

The WWF is planning a lot of new things for their record label in 2001, including at least two new releases. WWF The Music: Volume 5 is scheduled for release on February 6th release and judging by past success, it should be another platinum hit. I would not be shocked to see the WWF release another video for it. A follow-up to the WWF Aggression hip-hop album should also drop by the end of the year. With the WWF's overall business dropping, it is very important that they make up for losses in other areas. The XFL is the key to the WWF's overall business is 2001 but other ventures such as the record label, WWF NY, etc. will be key. A decrease in the WWF's base will cause lower album sales and things like that, so it will be interesting to see if the WWF takes any new promotional paths or things like that.

HHH could return to the WWF this Monday on RAW as the TV schedule returns to normal. This Monday should be a big one, as WCW is apparently planning a big Nitro, or as big a Nitro as they can put on. HHH is expected to have a big role on the Royal Rumble PPV and hype for that should start on Monday. It will be good to see HHH back. The WWF's main event scene has been somewhat thin recently due to guys like HHH and Rikishi being out. HHH is a pure WWF brand name and he is needed on TV.

Some people are starting to take notice of William Regal's very quick push to the main event scene. The WWF's "pay your dues" policy has not seemed to apply to Regal who was given the WWF European Title very quickly following his return. This is even more odd considering that Regal had backstage problems during his previous WWF stint. This has caused some heat to start brewing backstage due to some believing that a double standard is starting to form. It is obvious that there is something very odd about Regal's push and you have to wonder why the WWF is taking such a strikingly different approach to his future. Other stars bigger than him were forced to work mid-card feuds upon their WWF debuts before being elevated. It's an interesting situation and hopefully one that can be cleared up soon since the WWF cannot afford to have any locker room problems right now. I am a fan of Regal's current character but whether he should be wrestling for a shot at the WWF Title or not is a very debatable question.
