Place in History - Anybody who was a substantial wrestling fan in the 1980s probably followed wrestling on TV, in wrestling magazines or elsewhere. Those people who were fans then love to romanticize the glory days of whatever company they were a fan of. The second biggest company for much of the 80s was Jim Crockett Promotions out of the Southeastern United States and if there's one period that everyone remembers it was when the Four Horsemen ruled. A super heel faction consisted of four of the company's best, one of which was an arrogant rich kid-type named Tully Blanchard. A perfect upper midcard heel, Blanchard had tremendous feuds as both a single and a tag competitor. His ability to portray a scumbag and coward made him among the best heels of the 80s. Many forget his days in his father's Southwestern Championship Wrestling, where despite being a hometown boy he was a top heel. Blanchard didn't do much outside of the South, except for a stint in New York. While never a great talent in any one area, Blanchard's wide range of skills and affinity for a certain type of heel made him a lot of money and have him earned him much respect in wrestling circles.
