Menu Button Extension for Pegasus MailOverviewThe Menu Button Extension is intended to provide an easy method to add additional buttons to the Pegasus Mail toolbar to invoke existing menu functions with the click of the mouse instead of having to drill down through the menus to find the desired option. Pegasus Mail 3.x now provides this functionality within the standard program. However, some people may want to continue using the Menu Button Extension since the choice of bitmaps is very limited at this time. Pegasus Mail 2.x versions are limited to only 5 additional menu buttons to be added. The newer 3.1x versions can support up to 10 additional menu buttons. Also some functionality may not work in all circumstances as menu options are only available at certain times. At this time the extension does no checking to verify that a particulr menu option is enabled. Therefore problems may occur if a function is invoked at the wrong time.  Return to Top
AvailabilityThe Menu Button Extension is available for both the 16-bit and 32-bit versions of Pegasus Mail for Windows. Both versions are contained in the distribution archive and available for download. Additional button bitmaps are also being made available on this site in the Menu Button Bitmap Archive. LicensingThe Menu Button Extension is being made available to the Pegasus Mail community free of charge. The author retains all applicable copyrights to the extension but users are free to utilize the extension throughout their organizations. In return, I only ask that users of the extension please send copies of any button bitmaps created for use with the extension to me at billf@cstech.com with the subject: Menu Buttons.
