I am including with this, the Wright family data back a few more generations, 
that were in Dr. Peter Wright's notebook, and also forward into North America. 
My direct ancestor is Elizabeth Wright (#48) who married Alexander Brown.(My 
maternal grandfather was a Brown and direct descendent of Alexander.)

Braddock was defeated at the Ottis. 
47. George WRIGHT. Born 7 Nov 1733 in Fife,Scotland. Christen 8 Nov 1732 in 
Dairsie, Fife, Scotland. Died 17 Dec 1758 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania died in 
consequence of a wound, which he received on his temple by a Musket Ball in the 
defence of Loyal Hannon (Pittsburg) upon which occasion his Conduct was highly 
approved of, he died at Philadelphia & his journal ends December 17th 1758 then 
lieut of the Royal Regiment of Artillery.

Peggy MORRIS of Allanhill near St. Andrews. Died Before 1785. They had the

51. Jessie WRIGHT. Born 18 Sep 1742 in Foodie, Fife, Scotland. Christen 19 Sep 
1742 in Foodie, Fife, Scotland. Died 18 May 1794. Rose high in his profession & 
fell in a battle that took place off Lanoy the 16th, 17th, & 18th of May 1794, 
he then commanded the Royal Artillery & upon the death of Captain Sutherland of 
the Royal Engineers was appointed the Bridge Master to the Army on the Continent 
by his Royal Highness the Duke of York, Commander in Chief with whom he was much 
in favour. The Duke on that occasion says in his Despatches "I had the 
misfortune to lose Major Wright of the Artillery, a brave and deserving 
officer." He married Phoebe RULY. Born in North America. They had the following
