Hobbies and Interests

Christian loves the great outdoors: hiking,camping,fishing,rock hunting, and playing his guitar. He worked at a ski resort and hopes to someday attend a 2 yr trade school in Colorado about ski managment and outdoor environvent. He is a dedicated uncle/godfather to his nephew Noah and is a sweet nephew also! In February 2000 Christian was diagnosed with " Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia". It was very shocking news.  Being young (22) and thinking about college, he had no insurance and has been going from place to place  looking for the proper treatment. This was very hard on him.

2001:

Christians disease mutated in May to "Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia". This usually is very hard to treat and is typically fatal. Christian has been put on a new drug called: "Gleevec." He has responded well to this treatment. It sent his cancer into remission. Christians Spirits remain positive although doctors predict that it is only a matter of time before a relapse.

2002:

Christians cancer went into relapse. He had chemo treatments and developed staph and fungus infections. Christian developed pneumonia and his lungs filled with fluid. At one point he stopped breathing, but Christian didn't give up. He fought to keep alive! He  underwent a bone marrow transplant and is in recovery. Christian is still in some pain and is having some liver enzyme problems but is keeping in good spirits.  We would like to thank all of you for your prayers and support!!
