Love Don't Love Me

Aiko: This has been on my mind for quite a while... actually, I've been trying since January to get it on paper and make it sound right. I've changed the plot since then, but here's my first original fic. I came out with the idea while laying lazily in bed during March Break ^_~
Also, CLICK HERE for a song that goes with this first chapter.
I hate disclaimers, and this is an original fic so there supposingly wouldn't be any... but the song isn't mine. (obviously and if anyone sues me for that it's pointless) The song is Ginuwine - Love You More.

Chapter One

Perfect Life

"So he was just like, I've got the best annerversary present for you. I'm like so, where are we going on Friday? Because it's our annerversay. He's like some where special. Wear something formal though."

"You're so lucky to have Greg as your boyfriend! I wish Tom was more like him. Tom forgets half our special dates and never showers me with presents as Greg does. I'm starting to get jealous." Amy said. She has been my best friend since last year when she just moved to our school. I didn't notice her then, but heard rumours going around and didn't want to judge her before getting to know her. She always said hi to me in the hallways even though she didn't know me. As time went on, I realized that she was nothing like what my friends had described.

She was fun, caring and we became best friends in an instant. We spent weekends at each other's house for sleepovers and hours on the phone. We were there when both of us met our boyfriends, Greg and Tom. From then on, our weekends were filled from morning till night with shopping, movies and relaxing at the beach near our houses. Even though Tom wasn't the best at remember dates, he was always there. Greg on the other hand was the only son of the president of ECHO, a big record company and isn't always allowed to spend time with us, which his father considers of a "lower" status.

Tom was Greg's best friend who he met during one of his father's company parites. They were both bored and decided to ditch the party and go to the nearby beach where we all met. that night was the best night in my whole life. It was like a fairy tale fantasy come true. Them in their suits, walking on the sand and me and Amy with our summer dresses, taking a stroll after our dinner. I smiled as I thought about that night.

"Eliza. Are you there? Eliza?" Amy's voice pulls me back to the present.

"Oh yeah. I was just thinking about..."

"DINNER!"

"Here, I have dinner, then homework. My teachers gave us so much work to prepare for the test next week. I have so much to do! I'll talk to you tomoroow. Bye." I hung up and lend back on my chair, closing my eyes, for a second, letting them drift back to the scene of that night. The music in the background sinked in, blending into the sound of the waves and our laughter.

Baby when I think about (about, about)
The day that we first met (the day that we first met)
Wasn't lookin' for what I found
But I found you
And I'm bound to
Find happiness in bein' around you

I'm glad
When I'm makin' love to you
I'm glad for the way you make me feel
I love it cause you seem to blow my mind
Every.. time
I'm glad
When you walk you hold my hand
I'm happy that you know how to be a man
I'm glad that you came into my life
I'm so glad

I dig the way that you get down (you get down thugged out!)
And you still know how to hold me (and you still know how to hold me)
Perfect blend, masculine (can't get enough now)
I think I'm in love
Damn, finally...

I'm glad
That you
Turned out to be
That certain someone special
Who makes this life
Worth living
I'm glad
You're here,
Just loving me...
So say that you won't leave
'Cause since the day you came
I've been glad

As the song draw to an end, I opened my eyes and found myself staring at the picture of me and Greg. We look perfect together. The picture was taken a few weeks after we started going out.

It was summer time and we decided to go to the beach, where we first met. I was so nervous that day, my whole body tensed up, but when I saw him in a plain white t-shirt and red and black shorts, all my gears were gone. I remember spending most of that morning laying on the beach, tanning while he helped me put tanning oil on and the afternoon splashing in the water. That night, we sat on the cool sand, his arms around me, listening to the sound of the waves hitting the shore and glazing at the moon. that was the first time we kissed too.

"DINNER!" I heard my mother's call which interupted my thoughts. I had almost forgotten about dinner. I smiled at the picture again as I ran downstairs, hearing the irrtated tone in my mother's voice when she called again.

Mmm... I thought as the sweet scent of spaghetti and meatballs drifts from the hot kitchen as I ran down the stiars.
