|Of all the things that have lived throughout the ages of this world, stories are some of the most ancient. They may change a little over time, details may be added or taken away from the story as it is told in various countries, but the stories still live.
The stories that have lived throughout Time are the mythological stories of countries all over the world. These stories all contain fascinating people in them.
I have been intrigued and explored the tales surrounding these such figures, of which there are many. But it is the ones that I find to be most memorable, heroic, and interesting that I am studying here. I do not call the figures people of mythology because I believe none of them are real, but because the majority of the world has accepted these figures as mythological.
But as my English teacher, Mrs. V, told us at the beginning of my Mythology class, Mythology is not JUST stories. It is not JUST certain famous people like King Arthur and Odysseus and Brunahild. Mythology can also be defined as a person's personal beliefs, or creatures which are considered mythological.
So I have not neglected to explore not only the tales and people of myth, but also the beliefs of society, and my own personal bliss - writing.
I hope you enjoy the section as you would enjoy hearing several good stories. Click on a name or title to learn more about all these ways mythology can be defined, how various myths are interpreted, and how artists portray these myths.
