My Poetry Continued

Untitled 34

I shall learn your every thought and reason
your every mood in every season
your every hope and aspiration
your every dream and anticipation
I could learn them all, you see
If only you would trust in me

Untitled 35

I would take your gray skies
Paint them a brilliant blue
If I could for just a moment
feel the touch of you
I would run a million miles
to say my love is true
if I could just for a day
feel the touch of you
I would stop the rainy days
the days that it snows, too
if I could just for a year
feel the touch of you
I would love you everyday
make you smile when you're blue
if I could just for a lifetime
feel the touch of you

Untitled 36

I have a lot of things
I wish that I could say
though I do not say them all
I think them everyday
if I said I love you
I wonder what you'd say
though I can not say it here
I think it every day
I'd also say I need you
in each and every way
though I do not say it here
I think it every day
If I said I'll marry you
I wonder what you'd say
I guess I'll have to say it all
on some other day

Untitled 38

Will you ever leave me
I hope the answer's no
But I have the feeling
that someday you will go
I know you say you love me
I know that I love you
why do I feel that you will go
and break my heart in two
all I really hope for
and everyday I pray
that you will really love me
by my side you'll stay

Untitled 40

I can't seem to wait
till we are truly one
or when we lie side by side
when the day is done
My soul is effervescent
my heart it truly pounds
to know that love goes on forever
without eternal bounds
I hear you as you tell me
Please, darling, save your money
you always seem so pleased
when I call you honey
and though my limited wealth I spend
I can tell you true
that all the riches in the world
could never buy another you

Untitled 41

Each time I think about you
I know that I'm in love
when I look up to heaven
it's descending like a dove.
I think about you often
at least once each day
but if I said I love you
I wonder what you'd say
It hurts, it hurts to love you
It hurts so much I want to cry
It hurts, it hurts to need you
It hurts so much I want to die
Each time I think I love you
I drink a glass of rye
knowing you won't want me
no matter how I try
What must I do to have you
go begging on my knees
if that's the case just listen
love me, love me, please
It hurts, it hurts to love you
It hurts so much I want to die
It hurts, it hurts to need you
excuse me while I cry

Untitled 42

What kind of love do we crave?
What kind of dreams do we save?
Do you seek the kind of love that hurts?
or maybe you prefer one who just flirts.
Would you know love were it in the way
If it were there, what would you say?
Would you say I've been hurt before, go away?
Or would you welcome it to stay?
Would you run away to try to hide
or just pass by and let it slide
would you say, hey, I don't need a bride
Or like a slow freight, hitch a ride
You can look at love for all views
All the sides and angles and the choose
But no matter what you choose
with love you're bound to lose.
