| 2. Becoming Lighter Releasing Struggle and Pain from Your Life |
| This part will teach you how to relax and release your worries about a problem in your life. As you close your eyes, take three deep breaths in your upper chest counting each breath. Sense yourself in a beautiful scene of your choice, may be a beach or a mountain lake.. Imagine you are getting an empty plastic balloon of your favorite color. You will inflate this balloon in your imagination. By each breath you take you blow the balloon so it gets bigger and bigger. You are releasing inside this balloon your problems by each breath out. You don’t even need to remember what your problems are. You may take five breaths or seven deep breaths or how many breaths you feel necessary to release your problems inside this balloon as you inflate it. Feel you are releasing with your breath all your problems inside this beautiful radiant balloon. As you are finished, tie the end of the balloon. It is time to release this balloon to the wind. Free your inflated balloon to be taken away by a the steady stream of wind. Do so now and follow its gentle movement upward toward the sun, up, up, up and up. The ballon is getting smaller and smaller in your view, you can’t barely find it in the sky. It travels up through the Earth's atmosphere out into the space until it melts in the sun’s light. Observe how you are feeling lighter, freer and more relaxed. May be you are even happier and more joyful. Observe the scene of your choice where you are once again, the flowers, the wind, the water and so on. Open your eyes gently now. You can return to this scene at any time you want and blow away your problems in baloons of differente colors. You can change the number of breaths, the color of the balloon or even the scene you are in. Be playful and imaginative.
