Although he useta', Eustas no longer plows with his mule, Monroe. Eustas useta' do a lot of things. He plowed with his mule Monroe. He planted long rows of corn. Eustas useta' go dancing every Saturday night with with his Missus. But somewhere along the years, his Missus missed a beat and dancing was no longer fun. Monroe grew old and Monroe was useless to Eustas. All Monroe did was stand in a field and munch on weeds.

One day Eustas went out to the fields that he used to plow and found Monroe laying dead on the ground. He spent all day digging a grave for the old mule.He took the tracker and pushed Monroe into the grave. Then Eustas spent hours more covering it up. He placed a most magnificant grave marker on the Mules grave. A few days later Eustas found his Missus dead in bed. He went out and next to Monroe's grave, he dug his Missus's grave. He took an old wheelbarrel into the house and placed his Missus in it and pushed her out to the grave and buried her. He made an old wooden cross and stuck it on her grave. When people visited, they were stunned that the mule had a magnificant grave marker, but Eusta's Missus only had a mottly old wooden cross on her grave. Eusta's explained that the mule had served him well. But that his Missus bulked at much during her lifetime. Then One day the towns people didn't see Eusta's out and about. So they came to investigate. The old farmer Eustas who useta' be productive, was no longer useful. He was burried next to his wife. No marker was used for his grave. The Mayor explained that As Eusta's was no longer useful like he useta' be. He didn't need a useful marker.
