JACK FROST AND JANUARY FREEZE

Jack Frost and January freeze Were competitors, yes indeed. Jack Frost had been around, But January Freeze wanted the fame.

I bring in the fall; I am the king of all, Were the words Jack Frost did say, As a light coat of rime he did spread around, And I am the popular choice.

No, you are a puny sort, not a real winter man, January did say, as he bragged about his icy days, Cold and brrrrrrrrrrrry cold, Just plain old miserable.

And so they did go back and forth, And pretty soon April Rain and Summer Warmth Did get into the fray, And we had cold weather every day.

But soon Mother Nature did step in, And spanked each and sent them to bed. So now it is late December, And we are having summery weather.
