ODE TO LEFT OVER EGG NOG
She found a great way to beat the January 'Blahs'. She picked up her pen and wrote..........
An Ode to Leftover Egg Nog.
Have you finished with last year?
Is it as flat as Christmas beer?
Can you do C.P.R. on December?
Or would you rather not remember?
On the floor lies Christmas past.
Pockets empty, but he had a blast.
Flip him into Santa's sleigh,
As reindeers haul his ass away.
This year is still a little kid.
Starts the same as last year did.
Growing a bit more every day.
Like a debt we have to pay.
Will it rain? It looks like snow.
Straight ahead to spring we go.
Rest awhile, no need to hurry.
While we wait for one last flurry.
Pull up the quilt, turn up the heat.
Tomorrow's forecast calls for sleet.
Now it's freezing, what a bummer!
Don't shovel now, just wait for summer.
And for all those people who don't know what snow is?
It's the Devil's Dandruff!
