Jay

As I walked upon the path
Into the forest a bird flew
Noisy in his ferocious flight
A bird the color of blue

He matched the sky above
His color shown in a sun ray
Landing upon a branch high
I think his name was Jay

That Jay bird chattered loud
And scolded me below
Wanting me to leave his
Forest with get-up-and-go

I watched as others joined
Him in his search for a meal
I tossed some bread crumbs
And turned away on heel

I hid in bushes to watch
Not traveling far or away
Those crumbs were eaten
Greedily by all the blue jay
