Think Spring

Yellow daffodils bend with the weight
Of an early spring snow shower,
And questionable now is their fate,
Growing colder by the hour.

As midnight chimes in the parlor clock,
Delicate blooms are coated by frost.
But only herself does Nature mock,
If these beautiful flowers are lost.

Through the window, at the break of dawn,
A crystalline garden can be seen.
The lovely daffodils are not gone –
It’s only glazed over they have been.
