Bessie Mae got herself a job down at the Dew Drop Inn.
She’s singing and dancing and hustling beers.
Her beau keeps his eyes on her. His name’s Joe Quinn.
So far nothing’s happened to give rise to his fears.
A motorcycle gang rolled in the other night.
The leader said “Hey Girlie” and pinched her rear.
As nice as could be, she served his Bud Lite,
Then, loud as a siren, she yelled in his ear.
“Keep your mitts to yourself, Mr. Biker, if’n you please.”
She said. In her hands she had a bottle of wine.
“You’re scruffy and ugly and probably have fleas.
“An’ if you don’t I’ll stick this where the sun don’t shine.”
The biker guffawed and he gave her a smile.
Everyone listened, as quiet as a possum.
“You and I have an agreement, honey chile.”
Joe Quinn was relieved. His gal was truly awesome!
