I'll love you,
If you'll love me,
See how happy
We can be,

Life will be
A thrilling song,
Until the children
Come along.

I loved your humor
And thrilled to your sighs,
I didn't realize
You were telling lies.

Love is splendid,
Love is grand,
You once were happy
To hold my hand.

Now you want
My soul and body
I think your motives
Were kind of shoddy.

My heart skipped beats
When you were in sight,
Now old age palpitations
Keep me up at night.

I used cling to
Every word you said,
Now your jabbering
Leaves a pain in my head.

You said you needed
A woman you could adore,
But all you wanted
Was a maid to wash the floor.

You used to smell
So manly and charming,
Now your odor
Is quite alarming.

I cooked and cleaned
And kept you well fed,
Put up with your nonsense
And warmed your bed.

Ain't love grand?
