Honey flavored sweet rolls
Bacon on the grill
All gathered around the table
Tummys starting to fill

Coffee or hot chocolate
Newspaper having been read
Who will do the dishes
Once all the family is fed

Hank asked for scrambled eggs
Waffles requested by Dad
All Momma wanted was
A maid for the day real bad

Maple syrup from the tree
Grandma made herself
Kitty Cat sitting high
Upon the tallest shelf

Buster dog outside a barking
Wanting to be let in
Grandpa wishing all would quiet
From the noisy din

Sister Kate was upstairs
Braiding her long hair
Baby sister trying to get
Kate with her to share

Hurry now, Momma calls
Time to leave for school
I don't want to go says Hank
Dad calls him a fool
