Reviews for Teresa Stanisha
"Orchid's Beach: Sarah Letesny had everything she could want, a great job, a man who loved her and the perfect house. It seemed everything was perfect for her until that day she got home and her world fell apart... Collin, her fiance, had vanished from sight and took everything that was his with him. For weeks she walked on the beach near her home thinking and wondering what had gone so wrong that Collin left. When she finally went back to work her boss Ron Hitel had decided a change of scenery would be best for her and offered her a position in South Carolina. It was that same day that her car exploded in the parking garage at work. Once in South Carolina she began getting strange items that made her tend to believe that Collin was somewhere near but was it him? Why did Collin leave so unexpectedly and why did he not try to contact Sarah all this time? What is Ron Hitel's part in this story? This story has romance of course but the mystery and plots that seem to shift the reader's attention from one character to the next are done very well and I must admit I was baffled in a few places as to who was the real villain. I recommend Orchid's Beach and would love to see it made into a movie." - Overall rating: 5 hearts out of 5 hearts Sensuality rating: Very sensual Reviewer: Louise Riveiro- Mitchell July 12, 2004

"ORCHID’S BEACH is an exciting read. The action and romance are non-stop! I found myself living Sarah’s ordeals with her and feeling her pain. Terésa (Tracey) Louise Stanisha has a hit novel in this reader’s opinion." - Pam Bless, The Round Table Reviews

A TIME FOR PINK ROSES-ALL MY LIFE is a wonderful love story that is touching and special to anyone who has ever had such a love in their lives. To have that true love that goes far beyond what one can see and feel and last until time is no more. And to know that even after this you'll still be together again. Ms. Stanisha has touched my heart and soul with this story and will do it to all who read it." - 5 Hearts out of 5, Louise Riveiro-Mitchell, The Romance Studio

An Interview with Teresa Stanisha
By Holly Hewson, Marketing Director for The Romance Studio
HH: Teresa, welcome back to The Romance Studio! Please tell us about your featured work, Oceans and Mountains.

TS: Thank you, Holly and hello to you, The Romance Studio and all the readers and fans out there. It is a pleasure to be interviewed with The Romance Studio, again. Before telling you about my featured work, Oceans and Mountains, I just want to wish all of you a very Happy and Safe Labor Day!

Oceans and Mountains is a gripping novel set in the beautiful city of Newport, Rhode Island. It is a novel that is just overflowing with excitement! There are outbursts of violent weather, deep rooted and frightening deceptions and dangerous displays of undying love. All the characters involved in this story have their own special battles they need to fight. Battles they truly hope to win.

Oceans and Mountains:
Bob just can't stop when it comes to Maureen. He wants what he wants and while vacationing in Newport, Rhode Island he shows just how much. Bill, a business colleague, tells them of the loss of their jobs and sets in motion a dangerous ploy to escape from their ex company's CEO's.

There is danger at every corner. Their lives are tangled from many years before, bringing forth old secrets of illicit love affairs and destroying years of trusted friendships. As a level four hurricane bears down on Newport, there is much more trouble than they ever bargained for.

It's a tumultuous battle of changed identities and fiery anger. Their struggle is one of survival. As they flee from many enemies, including Mother Nature's fiery wrath, they head from the oceans to the mountains for safety. Are they friends or foes or could they even begin to know?

To order Oceans and Mountains please check this website, which is being updated with more information for your convenience. www.fountainpenn.org.

HH: Corporate corruption, old secrets, and furious storms. How did this story come into being?

TS: The inspiration for Oceans and Mountains came into being in a dream I had after I visited Newport, Rhode Island a couple of years ago. I love visiting the area and have been there many, many times. One time I was driving down Ocean Drive, the 9.5 miles of scenic roadway in Newport that looks out over the Atlantic Ocean. I gazed at the water, somewhat mesmerized. It just happened, then and there, I received some powerful thoughts for my book, Oceans and Mountains. The story was also deeply driven, in part, by unusual events that occurred when working at a previous company. Some of these events were very strange indeed. I developed these very odd happenings, elaborated on them and added them to the Newport, Rhode Island setting. As a result, Oceans and Mountains progressed and came to life.

HH: What did you enjoy most about writing it?

TS: Basing the story in Newport, Rhode Island allowed the feeling of being in Newport again. Newport is so beautiful and holds such an allure for me. I went back to Newport a couple more times to make sure I had all of the details correct and I have fallen in love with Newport even more. It is so beautiful. It was very enjoyable to have my characters act out their story along the wonderful stretch of land called, Newport.

HH: What do you admire most about the main character, Maureen, in your book, Oceans and Mountains?

TS: I admire, Maureen, in Oceans and Mountains, because she has such deep depth of character. She is smart and knows what she wants. Maureen is strong and able to handle diversity with grace and resiliency. Her ordeals are trying at best, but she fights on relentlessly for the truth. Steadfast, yet compassionate, Maureen’s character embraces that of a proud, American woman. One who can withstand pressure and conquer obstacles that are placed in her way. At all times, she is sure to make choices that are of a good and solid standing in nature.

HH: Are the characters in Oceans and Mountains and your other novels based on real life people you have met over the years? By desire, do you prefer to write about past experiences or do you create plots for your books from scratch?

TS: In some instances they are a combination of many people I have met and known over the years. Mostly, the characters are truly unique because I perfected them in my imagination and added layers to their personalities that give them real depth, as the stories in my novels unfolded.

Most, not all of my books, have certain elements of past experiences that I draw on to develop the plot of the story. I elaborate on one small incident and create an entire saga out of it. The characters take on a life of their own as the stories progress and it rolls onward from there.

HH: What is your writing schedule like these days?

TS: My writing schedule these days is quite extensive. I have compiled and completed quite an impressive list of travel guides - over 130 guides and am currently writing travel destination articles. I also write articles about the jewelry industry; weddings and wedding receptions; beauty and fashion; horoscopes and astrology and a lot more. Being a publicist, with five authors to handle, it is very busy. I will also be managing a group of authors for other writing assignments, too. My Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design and Business Administration will be put to good use when I will be designing business cards, letterheads, personalized products (calendars, etc.) and more for Noteables as an Independent Design Consultant. Plus, designing book covers for my publisher is also on the agenda. As an ongoing responsibility I continue to update my website that I've completely designed and implemented myself and create even more interesting avenues to showcase my works. The website address is http://www.oocities.org/writingroses/Menu.html so be sure to check it out. With many other books completed I look forward to all of them being published, too. Of course, that is NOT all, there's more, please check my website for more updates. So, you see, all these happenings are keeping me very busy.

My previously published novels include, Dancing Waters, Orchid's Beach and A Time For Pink Roses - All My Life! For a more complete listing of all my published works please visit this website address www.authorsden.com/teresatraceylstanisha.

HH: When you are not writing what do you like to do?

TS: There are many things I like to do when I am not writing. I absolutely love to travel (have traveled extensively throughout the continental USA and loved every bit of this beautiful country), I also love to go dancing (ballroom and disco - I am a disco babe), enjoy being creative making crafts and doing my artwork, I love to be in the movies (have been in many) and going to see them, too – (especially at the drive-in), visiting with my immediate and extended family whom I love very much (family reunions are a blast, with fun, laughter, good times and great food), seeing and spending time with my nieces and nephews (traveling to Connecticut in the summer is awesome and I love the beaches and the flat terrain of New England, in the winter, during the storms it is treacherous, but I’ll do it to see those far away loved ones of mine-love them and miss them very much), reuniting with long time friends and I also enjoy spending time doing things with my family, loved ones and friends, too.

I love going to the beach and boogie boarding and strolling along the sand, especially when the sun is setting, star gazing in the moonlight, boating, gardening (and shooing the deer away from my crops, sometimes chasing them with a shovel), seeing musicals (especially, “Phantom of the Opera”, the best ever!) and shows, music – especially oldies and disco, dining on great food, playing the slot machines, (especially the jewelry game - Splendid!), sightseeing, bird watching, learning about interesting places, researching all kinds of things, laughing a lot!!!! and a whole lot more. My interests are varied, diverse and plentiful, you see I could fill pages with all the things I enjoy! I’ll stop here, for now that is!!!

HH: With travel being one of your many interests, where would you like to visit soon?

TS: I would REALLY LOVE to visit the islands of Hawaii, and then Alaska, so that I may complete seeing the entire United States! After I visit those two destinations, I would love to visit Australia and enjoy the fabulous beaches and scenery. With so many places to see in the world, I would add more to my list: some wonderful destinations being Paris, Slovenia, Rio de Janeiro, Venice, Spain and Egypt, just to name a few.

HH: What else can readers look forward to from you in the near future?

TS: Literally Speaking is an anthology with two of my stories and five poems included in it. The Romance Studio will be doing a feature on Literally Speaking in December, 2006. Three Corners of a House is one of the stories in this anthology and it is a love story about two people from Slovenia that legally come to America. Readers will fall in love with the characters in this story. I based the characters on my late grandparents, Louis and Anna Stanisha who were truly lovely people from Slovenia. They are loved and missed very much. This story is a tribute to the both of them for their strength of character and their true love of life.

Lovers, Movies and Murder is another one of the stories in the anthology. It is a story of suspense and intrigue. Literally Speaking is due out at the end of the summer. My feature in December, 2006 with The Romance Studio will bring to life the story, Three Corners of a House and much more. Don't miss it. Please visit my publisher’s website for further updates on the Literally Speaking anthology at this address. www.fountainpenn.org.

HH: Where can readers and fans find out more about you and your books?

TS: Thank you so much for this interview, Holly. As usual, it has been a pleasure to converse with you and the viewers of The Romance Studio. Thank you so much for this wonderful opportunity to share my latest novel with all of you!

Have a blessed and safe celebration and Happy Labor Day to all!
