The Put-Downs are a crappy little 3 piece punk band from the  "wrong side of Texas" in Beaumont, TX. If you really care, Boremont is in the Southeast corner of the great Lonestar State, right next to Louisiana and the Gulf of Mexico. The Put-Downs actually could be classed as a "garage punk band" except that none of the boys currently have a garage, and on the few occasions when they rehearse, it sure as hell aint in a garage.

The Put-Downs loosely consist of and resemble, Paul J. on lead guitar and vocals, Mike Dempsey, who bangs the drums and squawks out back-up, and Mike's lil brother, the newest Put-Down, Scott Dempsey on kick ass bass.

You, the wary web surfer, may be wondering just who these idiots, who have given Texas music a black eye, have come from, what they are about, what they like or don't like, whether they wear boxers or briefs (or nothing-Beware), who their influences are, etc......Or..... more likely... you may be asking yourself how the $%^%& did I end up at this site.
