During the Allied southern assault, Brian takes the lightly defended Hotel in the middle north and sneaks a squad accross the street, dividing Wruff's forces down the center of the map. Making his way through the northern fields and threatens Wruff's supply line....

SAS 3.5
An allied R3 torches the German position.
In the west the Germans secure the Chateau and move north to meet the Allied advance.
In the next round Wruff puts the blunt of his strength into a southern assault down the west side, attempting to break the flank of the Germans and open up the line, taking heavy losses but pushing on the assault to take the buildings on the north side of the road and breaking accross the street to the south Hotel.
Brians PzIV on the road enduring a direct hit from a zook and a close assault by an allied rifle squad in the 2 story building on the north side of the road. The allies then lose it all when another PzIV and 2 squads in the deep south put down what was left of the allied attacking force. Brians germans then resecuring the southern road and quelling allied hopes for a breakthrough.
(My screenshot utility crashed during the battle and didn't capture all of the action along the south road, unfortunatly)
A surviving german assault squad retreats at the sight of the inbound tanks
Just east accross the bridge,
a single allied squad defends the road to Mederet supported by a Sherman.
Everyone in the Chateau is wiped out in the end.
...forcing Wruff to spend his forces in the morning of the third day retaking northern Amfreville and pushing the germans off his supply route and sacrificing the east to german forces.
Brian secures the east side of the river while Wruff makes another push into the south only to be hammered back once again crossing the road in another failed attempt to gain Brian's left flank.
Only 1 battle remains. If Brian can hold his advantage one more round then a German victory is certain!
THE LAST BATTLE!
5 battles down. 1 to go.
Wruff's deploy for
the last fight.
Things look grim for the allies.
Wruff needs to gain 2 Major Victory Locations while not giving up any ground to Brian's german forces.
The allies spent much of the previous 3 days trying to break through the southwest. It's time for another strategy.

The Germans have to hold their lines and protect the victory.
The allies need a breakthrough.
Desperate measures are the order of the day!
...Wruff opens up on the Hotel in the north with the R3. Screams rang from the Hotel where german troopers were scorched holding their defense.

2 allied squads. One hiding under the tank wreck and another by the R3 in the hedge lay still as a PanzerIV moves into position for a shot at the allied flame tank.
There are 3 small holes in Brians deploy area left by allied survivors from the previous battle..
Wruff gambles on a deploy using the hole in the north where 2 major VL's, the Cabbage Field and the Hotel are relatively close together...
The R3 moves several meters south to the Hotel as the PzIV gives chase through the narrow opening between the hedges where an allied rifle squad lies in ambush waiting for the right moment.
Brian charges a squad through the Cabbage Field to get the attention of the R3 and take some heat off of their mates in the Hotel. They're ambushed by Wruff's Assault squad hiding under the tank wreck.
...Making room for the R3 to move in and finish off the german troops in the Cabbage Field.
While a 57mm AT Gun hits the PzIV from far accross the field positioned inside the Chateau on the west side. Immobilizing the german tank.
The tank and the AT gun trade rounds for several moments before the AT gun finally blows up.
But it did its job well.
German reserves move in and retake the Hotel in the north.

A final allied assault is set up.
A Command Sherman moves in and secures the Cabbage Field, wiping out a german squad attempting to rush the tank.

The immobile R3 turns it's turret and lays supressive fire on the hotel while a 30cal Rifle squad assaults by way of the field from the west side supported by a Wolverine.
Another rifle squad moves down accross the road from the north to hit the germans in the Hotel...
Day 2
Day 3
Allied troops secure the Hotel. Germans come knocking on the back door in force.
A firefight ensues behind the Hotel as US armor is called in to support the defense.
Wruff holds the line and assaults the Chateau while a Sherman provides suppressing fire.
Brians assault squad responds with explosives and close assault in a hard defense.
Wruff moves in to secure the Chateau then pushes into the south on the west side of the road.
The german tank wipes out the assault squad.
The order is given to the rifle squad for close infantry assault!
The big german tank never sees them comming and doesn't stand a chance...
Two more Panzers move in.
One from the North and another from the East.
The R3 charges up the hedge and takes care of the Kommand PzIII. Though it ends up immobile on the hedge there throwing a track.
A German TigerVIE moves in led by an infantry team. The german team is wasted before the Tiger can get a shot at the BAR squad holding the Chateau.

Allied reserves wait positioned accross the street.
...And successfully resecure the Hotel for the win.
