Crossing in group under cover of smoke into the orchards.
US forces entering Valognes launch their assault
on the german defenders.
Mark charges a
squad accross
the road towards allied positions.
Allied light armor hits the recon squad. Marks boys didn't last long.
.50cal MG in the Chateau spots a Pak AT gun sitting in the open.
They open fire on the big gun along with a Halftrack 81mm, finally scoring a lethal blow to the tank killer.
Then the Luftwaffe pays a visit
with strafing cannons.
Another assault squad hits the allied advance, wiping out one of Wruff's squads.
A stuart and rifle squad take care of them when the germans move up on the hedge.

Allies forwarding positions for the assault on Valognes when they come under fire from the Church.
Allies return fire then group for a counter-attack.

2 broken squads move on the Church but are killed by close assault from german troops in the lower level.

rifle squads wait for the order.
