Dedication:

I would like to dedicate this site to my mother, Virginia Ann Bowman Duffey, my son, Joseph Timothy Paul Duffey, and to my family.

All of them have been very special gifts from God and have blessed my life in so many ways.

My mother went to be with Jesus on February 19, 1993. We all miss her love, sacrifices, and inspiration. Her wonderful smile brought all of us so much joy. Even through the rough times, she maintained her Christian faith and love for God. She was always very proud of each one of her children, grandchildren, and the rest of her family.  Each day I ask Jesus to give her a hug for me. I am anxious to see her again. She would be excited to know her family history.

My son, Paul, is the crown jewel of my life.  As I have watched him grow from a baby into a wonderful young man, I have been astonished at how fast time goes by. I am proud that he is a member of MENSA and will graduate from the University of North Carolina in Asheville next year.  He is in the process of living his life and creating his own personal history. My prayer is for God to be near him and watch over him each step of his journey.

Janey and Linda, Mama would be proud to see what wonderful, dedicated, and loving mothers and grandmothers you are.

She would also be proud that Tracie, Tonya and Angela have graduated from college with their Bachelor’s Degrees and that Tammy has completed her Master’s Degree. I can see tears of joy in her eyes and a big smile on her face knowing that they have accomplished this. She would be especially proud that Tracie, Tonya, and Angela are such dedicated and loving mothers.

I only wish that Abigail, John Joseph, Nicholas, Regan, and Tonya’s little one on the way could have known her.  I hope the presentation of this book helps them to know her in a small measure, and gives them a positive glimpse into a very proud family history.

I dedicate this site to all of you.
