Escape --
  A temporary
  Detour from
  Reality
  
  Chemical,
  Mental or
  Sexual,
  It makes 
  Life manageable.
  
  Or minds do
  It each night,
  
  As we dream
  
  Vivid collages
  Of images shown
  On the viewscreen
  
  Of our eyelids.
  
  Without escape,
  We crack --
  The pressure 
  Eroding our
  Self-control.
  
  One way or
  Another, our
  Mind will
  Go LOA
  Occasionally.
  
  Too much
  Reliance on
  Escape kills
  Reality and
  Makes life
  Unbearable
  
  Therein lies
  The paradox...
