Strikes/Stand Up
-Jab, right uppercut, left uppercut, cover up & weave backward, cross
-Jab, uppercut, hook, cross
-Jab, round kick to leg, hook, cross, round kick anywhere
-Parry push kick, cross, hook, round kick to leg
Throws/Takedowns
-Morote Seoi Nage (grab cross lapel, use elbow to lift), arm bar
-Grab cross lapel, duck under arm & fall to knees - arm bar or choke
-Grab cross lapel, put foot in hip, fall to arm bar
-Bear hug defense; double chicken wing throw - to modified Kesa
Side Mount (Includes: Kesa, HH, Reverse Kesa)
-Push tricep to other hand, turn opponent sideways, step over tricep, master grip, neck crank
-Push gi under opponent’s far arm and switch hands, grab collar with other hand, choke
-HH: reverse chicken wing and grab same side collar, spin to knee in stomach, arm bar
-Grab collar from under shoulder on near side, grab collar with other hand, choke
Escapes from Guard
-From ½ guard: figure four opponent’s ankle, slide foot ward, grab under leg & arch pelvis, knee bar
-From crunch: knee through leg to ground, turn to hip crank (or just grab ankle & reverse twist)
Leg Techniques
-Opponent has hooks in on back: trap one foot with your leg, roll to that side, pull ankle to reverse heel hook
-Opponent shoots: sprawl, reach under opponent & grab far ankle, pull through so opponent is on back, reverse heel hook
-Guard pass: turn body sideways with knee under butt, reach under knee & pull to knee crank or slide to knee bar
-Guard pass: break into open guard, pass one knee over leg, go to reverse Kesa, hook leg with foot & pull to knee bar
Escapes from Arm Bar
-Grab back of opponent’s knee with near hand, push away - impossible for opponent to arm bar
Guard
-Opponent under hooks arms; turn to side, use knee to arm bar
-Chicken wing, other leg in crook of arm, straighten leg & shoulder crank
-Chicken wing, master grip & turn to sweep position, shoulder crank
-Pass arm, kick leg over head, arm bar from stomach 
Guard Reversals
-Fake guillatine, under hook arm, elevate over to mount, neck crank
-Any guard; opponent stands, lace leg around opponent’s leg, push to ground & twist ankle
Mount
-Double grapevine; do pushup to double leg lock
-Double grapevine; extend one leg, grab ankle, knee pinch
-Arm bar resistance; punch bicep & lean head ward to arm bar
-Push arm across neck, sit out to Kesa, master grip, choke
Turtle/KK (Knee-to-Knee)
-Grab lapel, grab hamstring, kick leg over body, roll under opponent to choke
-Grab wrist, knee in tricep, waki (can walk around head & triangle)
-KK; shoot, opponent sprawls, chicken wing, sit out to waki or Kesa/side mount
-KK; shoot, opponent sprawls, push one leg up & pull other leg, take to side mount (or just post leg & go to guard)
Miscellaneous Escapes
-From half guard; stand, drop shoulder to neck, shake off, push knee, go to mount or put knee to ground and go to Kesa
-From side mount; trap leg with your near leg, bump, pull to knee bar
Counters
-Counter throw from behind by stepping around leg, grab behind knees & slam, knee bar; or just grab foot between legs, sit on knee & break
-Counter arm across neck choke from Kesa; use two arms to push elbow against head, circle arm around head to escape
-Same as above but grab own hamstring & turn on side, bridge, circle arm around head or sit up
-Counter Henzo choke by swimming arm around & pull down on elbow
-Counter shin in neck arm bar from turtle; step over leg & knee bar
