WSF Blue Stripe Requirements

Strikes/Stand Up - Side kick, mule kick
- Push kick (front & back leg)
- Downward block to counter push kick while walking backwards-follow with cross or hook
- Foot stomps- break arch
Throws/Takedowns -Grab belt perpendicular to opponent; back spin sweep to throw (counter to hip throw)
- Opponent grabs leg; grab belt, hook leg with foot, pull sideways to mount (Kouchi-gare)
- Opponent grabs leg; grab back of belt, sit thru and mount-or hook leg on outside and roll to mount
- Over-under toss to modified Kesa
Mount -Reach around neck & grab wrist, choke or straighten leg & arm bar
- Same as above but pull opponent into rear naked choke from your back
- Reach around neck & grab bicep, grapevine legs, use shoulder to traction neck
- Radius into carotid, master grip, lean shoulder into throat, choke
Turtle/Knee to Knee - Grab cross lapel, step over shoulder, arm bar, choke or triangle
- Throw legs; pivot to knee pinch or use foot to pinch other leg
- KK: arm drag to turtle
- KK: opponent shoots; sprawl, turn hip into arm around your leg, shoulder crank
Guard- Pull arm across, trap elbow, arm bar
- Crunch; grab neck with both hands, knee choke/crank
- Opponent in arm bar & stands; hook near or far leg, roll to arm bar
- Grapevine/elevator; sit up, arm drag, figure four leg, knee pinch
Guard Reversal  - Grapevine/elevator; arm drag, grab belt, bridge over to mount
- Crunch; elbow to knee, grab pant leg & jaw, roll to knee in stomach
Side Mount - Knee in stomach; cross lapel choke with knee in neck
- Cradle legs & lift hips high; when they fall grab near leg and knee bar
- Modified Kesa; step over head arm bar, or arm bar other arm with head on ground
- Kesa; push arm across throat; reach around neck & master grip, choke
Escapes from Guard - From half guard; grab ankle and walk up, lift hips up and shake              
    off opponent, push knee down &  mount
- Pass open guard; stand, grab pant legs, push legs left/right, pass to knee in stomach
  (If opponent attempts knee bar, push leg to ground & mount)
Leg Techniques - Rolling knee bar (from Whizzer or single leg): Know counter (figure four or sprawl)
- Scissor sweep knee bar backwards from high single leg or foot between legs
- Opponent behind you; tries to lift you, hook leg, lock elbow, forward roll to knee bar
- Opponent turns sideways to avoid ankle lock, put foot in bicep, reverse ankle lock or knee twist
Escape from Mount - Bump, reach under leg & grab belt, bridge over shoulder, go out the back door
Misc. Escapes - Escape standing guillotine by Russian neck crank (can drop to ground)
- Escape standing guillotine; lace opposite arm thru; or pop knee with yours; or shin-to-shin sacrifice 
Counters - Opponent hooks leg in Kesa; hook opponent’s leg with yours, extend leg-to-leg lock
- Counter opponent pushing knee off from knee in stomach; downward shoulder crank
- Counter knee-key lock: push one foot against other foot to stop pressure
- Counter knee bar: scoot to key lock; figure four legs, shoulder crank (for hamstring grab); or elbow to knee
Weapons Defense - Gun; parry inward, grab barrel & push upward, take weapon or shoot opponent
