| WSF Green Stripe Techniques ___________________________________________________________________ Strikes/Stand Up -Jab, cross, body hook, uppercut - Uppercut parry with elbow or double elbow block - Front leg knee stomp - Block knee stomp by lifting knee or round kick leg Throws/Takedowns - Weight on back leg, knee stomp to straight arm duck under, trip to mount -Duck under to choke, throw or go behind -Takedown from behind by lifting & sweep legs; elbow in hip; or grab shins & trip forward to turtle -Takedown from behind by suplex; or post foot & fall to turtle Mount - Arm bar resistance, Key lock (Can use leg); or can roll footward off shoulder to shoulder crank -Arm bar resistance: Cross ankles, lace far elbow & pull headward (or just grab for elbow with both hands) - Arm bar resistance: Brace one hand on mat, grab arm and your own leg, lift hips, twist footward to break - Arm bar resistance: Put foot in neck and push - Arm bar resistance: Grab arm tight, circle body headward and back to break arm Turtle/Knee to Knee - Shin to neck, fall on side, arm bar - Baseball slide to arm bar Guard- Grab lapel with thumb inside, grab lapel low with other hand, slide thumb around to other side of neck choke - Grab cross lapel, reach around head with other arm & slip hand under armpit, lift to choke - Opponent punches; bump & push arm across, grab bicep & put hand behind head to choke or by putting radius in carotid -SAB but double parry & grab wrist, slide arm under elbow & grab own wrist, choke Guard Reversal - Opponent punches; bump & push arm across, sweep leg, go to turtle - Single elevator, single grapevine; elevator to mount or side mount Side Mount (Kesa, HH Rev. Kesa)- Opponent pushes you away; jump to Judo arm bar position with weight forward, arm bar - Spin to headward holdown from modified Kesa; pull arm across,Kimora(with knee in neck, knee in bicep or torque) - Around the world drill - Kesa: Opponent locks hands around waist; master grip around elbow, pull to shoulder crank Escapes from Guard - Hand on belt, other hand goes between opponent’s legs & grabs belt, pull on lap, grab cross lapel, drive knees to head, spin to side mount Leg Technique - Boston crab (twist ankle or screw it off) - can grab both ankles from double leg -In guard: pass knee over leg, fall sideways lace leg over opponents leg to a 90 degree ankle lock -Same as above but grab ankle & step headward to ankle lock (If opponent flips go to crab) -Same as above but heel hook (or grab ankle & pull) Misc. Escapes- Escape Kesa by rolling toward opponent, hook leg, go to turtle or shoulder crank - Escape Kesa by bumping and sliding knee under hips, roll over opposite shoulder, arm bar - From mount; bump, elbow to knee, go to guard Counters - Block elbow to knee from side mount by grabbing belt; or reaching under opponent; or lace arm through legs; or dig knee under hips - Opponent single elevators; pull knee back, hook foot, bring knee forward to foot crank - SAB but drive knee through opponent’s knee and put to ground, knee/hip crank - Counter Boston crab by doing a push up, roll to knee bar or guard - Counter lace ankle lock by dorsiflex foot, straighten leg, pull knee, reverse heel hook - SAB but finish with reverse foot lock Weapons Defense - Knife lunge; pull wrist forward to ground, knee to tricep & take weapon ______________________________ Copyright property of: World Sambo Federation |
