WSF Yellow Stripe Techniques ___________________________________________________________ Strikes/Stand Up-Snap kick to lower body (block by heal to buttock) - Jab, cross (can use open palm) - Parry jab, cross - Haymaker outside block and cross to stomach Throws/Takedowns-Shoulder throw (Ippon seoi nage-can throw sideways) set up with chicken wing or yank arm - Grips (10), slaps (5), Pushes, (8 directions) - Guillotine: regular; grab bicep; front face lock (if opponent resists, sit thru to sacrifice) - Footwork; crescent step; box step; slide; circle both ways; diagonal step; switch step Side Mount (Kesa, HH, Reverse Kesa)-Chicken wing, hand on shoulder, grab wrist, arm bar - If opponent bends arm, mount and reverse shoulder crank - Grab back collar, circle hand around neck and choke - Straddle leg by opponent’s leg, pop over to mount Escapes from Guard -Knee under hips, slide other leg back, pass leg with knee, side mount Leg Techniques - Grab ankle from inside guard, fall back, squeeze knees & push with hips, ankle twist (if opponent grabs head, encircle arm and arm bar) - Same as above but hand on shin, ankle lock - Opponent kicks face while in ankle lock, parry, trap leg, ankle lock or knee push - Reverse ankle lock with master grip or hand on shin Escape from Mount - Grab arm, trap leg, roll over to inside guard (or fake roll and push leg, go to guard) Escape from Guard- Elbow pressure to inside leg, pass leg with knee, side mount or mount Mount - Arm bar (push off chest or post leg, use angle)-brace hand on mat if opponent rolls into you -Defense to choke, punch, bump, hoist and knee push -Opponent clasps hands in arm bar; use foot to remove (machine gun or push to ground) -Cross lapel choke; pull across neck and grab low on other side of gi, choke (use fist to choke) Turtle/Knee to Knee-Sink hooks, rear naked choke; or grab bicep with hand behind own neck choke - Opponent tucks chin, choke face - Cross face neck crank or grab chin neck crank - Breakdown though opponent by cross face and grab tricep, tilt to choke Guard (From guard or crunch)-Arm bar (elbow to knee, push head) or hold sleeve and collar - Guillotine - Shoulder crank (can use Kangaroo Kick or grapevine and extend legs) - Cross lapel choke with leg or kick out knees Guard Reversals - Sweep to mount - Reverse sweep to knee in stomach Misc.
