Historic Illustrations and

These selections are but a few of my favorite maps
and illustrations and sources for more. There are dozens of other
drawings, paintings, and prints as well as many hundreds of photographs,
but space does not permit me to show but the tip of the iceberg.
If you know of any others that would be suitable for posting here, please
let me know!

This is a very interesting map as the settlement at Nelson Flatts is
labeled Argos. This map has been misinterpreted as
showing that the settlement of "Argos" was there before Nelson Flatts (why
is Perryville called "Harmony"? is that a "lost settlement," too?)
Argos is the same as the present hamlet of Nelson Flatts on NY 20 in
the bottom of the valley.
