NBA Comparisons: |
Optimistic Outlook: Stromile Swift |
Pessimistic Outlook: Bo Outlaw |
Positives: An incredible athlete with
great leaping ability. Plays above the rim and is a
very quick jumper. Capable of highlight reel finishes.
Possesses long arms and a wingspan of a seven footer.
Crashes the boards well on the offensive end and chases
down all the rebounds on the defensive end. Warrick
also has a developing offensive game, including a good
turnaround jumper. Moves his pivot foot well and uses
various moves to operate in the paint. Has great potential
and has worked very hard to improve his game.
Negatives: Warrick isn't a really
good shooter, He will really need to improve his
shooting to become a quality NBA small forward.
His three point range is nonexistent, and his
overall shooting needs work. Needs to work a lot
on his ball handling, he looks very awkward putting
the ball on the floor. Warrick needs to get stronger
and gain weight to compete in the NBA. Is a bit
of a tweener, as he has a power forward skill's
with a small forward's body. Doesn't really block
as many shots as one would imagine. With his ability
Warrick should at least be blocking 2 per game
at the college level. |
|
Bottom line: Basically Warrick is
a Power Forward trapped in a Small Forward's body. He
does not have the ball handling, shooting, or passing
abilities that would allow him to play on the wing.
He is strictly an inside player. This really hurts his
potential because he is so much smaller than the other
inside players. Still though Warrick finds a way to
compete with his superior athleticism and very long
arms.
Warrick has a lot of potential based on his incredible
athletic ability, but his skills need work. He is still
raw and too skinny. |
