For those of you who are new to the Wisconsin State Society of the Greater Washington, DC area (WSS), the executive board would like to extend a hearty Wisconsin greeting. It is always a pleasure to meet Wisconsinites who value their home state as much as we do. In fact, the entire executive board volunteers their time to make the WSS a successful organization.

President Bill "Car Stopper" Wagner.

bill.gif (60282 bytes)      Bill has been President of WSS for as long as Wisconsin has known the receipe for cheese! He has been a major organizer of this society and of its events. He grew up in Oconomowoc. Before moving to the D.C. area, Bill graduated from UW-Madison Law School. Currently he is a lawyer for the U.S. Department of Transportation. Bill's motto: "You're never too old to have a happy childhood. It just takes longer to recover."  As a hobby, Bill trains for Packers tryouts by tackling cars near the Ballston Metro.

Vice President Maribeth Konz

maribeth.gif (64863 bytes)    Maribeth has spent many hours planning and dreaming of parties for WSS members. She is originally from Appleton, the fifth safest place to live in the country. After being educated at the bustling metropolis of UW-LaCrosse, she still felt a yearning for the big city. Maribeth spends her days working for Ryan Homes.

Vice President Susan B. Jollie

Susan not only plans events, but she actually hosts them too. She is the only person crazy enough to host the annual pool party, where tons of displaced Wisconsinites eat, drink and be cool by the pool! Susan was also raised in Appleton and later attended Georgetown Law School. She is an aviation regulatory attorney and enjoys her job completely, well most of it anyway!

Treasurer Kenneth Giordan

Ken is the keeper of the funds and hails from Milwaukee. His primary mission in life is to balance his checkbook. Not to worry though, Ken has a firm grasp on the fundamentals of math and hopes that our accounts soon grow to cover the cost of his last vacation. Ken, now retired, is lucky enough to spend his summers in Eagle River, WI.

Secretary Ann Kristal

ann.gif (56345 bytes)     Ann has been the Secretary for 10,000 years. She records the meetings on stone tablets. The last person to recieve a copy of the board minutes is resting peacefully in Arlington National Cemetery. However, it was one heck of a going away party! Actually, she is one of the founders of the UWM Women's Hockey Team and has been referred to as "the greatest travel agent in the world!" So, when you go back to Wisconsin, give her a call, she'll get you there in one piece.

Delegate to NCSS Brenda Wrey

The National Conference of State Societies, NCSS, is a good ally of our organization. They contribute to our society yearly, and they give us two more reasons to party every year. Brenda is from Menomonee Falls and now works for COMSAT. She is also a gemologist, or rock-reader.
