Day 10:Martinez, San Jose, & Seattle
We would be leaving for home today but we first wanted to go Martinzez for a little while and watch them play Bocci ball at the
Martinez Regional Park. This is a little Italian town that has a park right next to a water inlet that looks across at the town of Benecia.
There are also tournaments that go on every Sunday morning here in the game of Bocci. We drove 250 miles today. 2300 total
They always look like they have such fun playing this game. There is also toys for kids and picnic
area and dock to walk along. We always come here when we are in the vicinity.
We go to L.J. Quinn's Lighthouse for lunch which is nextto the Bay in Oakland. this is a great place to eat outside as you look
at the boats in the Marina. Ciindy orders a chef salad and I order a Calamari dish with red sauce that was very spicy and good. It was so good
I asked them if they would rap up the remaining food so I could take it home on the airplane. they packaged it in styrofoam and
aluminum foil so that I could put it in my duffle bag. This is a great place to have a beer out on the deck looking at the marina or
even to have a nice dinner with a bottle of wine.
Our plane left around 2:00 and we woudl arrive in Seattle around 6:00 as it had been a great trip and knew that this would not
be the last time that we came down here.
